writing, speaking, inspiring change

Laura Chapman
Aspiring changemaker, blogger, writer, B.A. International Relations 2019

Laura Chapman is currently in her 4th year of study at the University of British Columbia, studying International Relations. She plans to pursue a multifaceted career in which she can use her business, language, and skills of the written word to inspire women and do her part in changing the world for the better.

Though she is only 22 years old, Laura is lucky to have already had a myriad of unique life experiences which aid her in the work she does and aspires to do. She has been a Canadian Ambassador for Rotary Youth Exchange for the 2013/2014 year in Milan, Italy. She has learned to speak English, Spanish, Italian, and French, though she plans to add Arabic, Mandarin and Hebrew to that list. Her written work has been featured in Visions Magazine as well as her blog, which aimed to shine a light on youth mental health. She has been an active participant and volunteer with Rotary International, the Canadian Red Cross, the YMCA, CMHA, and the Fraser Institute. Laura aims to use her growing knowledge and experience to help others on an international scale.
